Ground Maintenance
Citrus ground maintenance contracts are usually timed to coincide with the growing seasons and as part of the annual ground maintenance plan. Typically the year is split into two with a seven month growing season and a five month winter season. Two visits a month are made in the lighter months and in the darker months this can drop down to once a month depending on the site.
Weed Control
This is a major part of any ground maintenance contract as weeds if left unchecked tend to grow every where especially in lawns, hedges, boarders, paths and parking areas. Citrus uniformed and trained staff adopt a manual approach to weed control, removing weeds and maintaining the well kept appearance to the grounds. On paths and parking areas spraying is carried out and on the lawns selective weed killer is used where appropriate. Any spraying carried out is done at the appropriate time, having taken the necessary precaution in accordance with the health and safety regulations.
Grass cutting
Citrus ground staff are proficient at maintaining a manicured appearance to grounds using modern efficient equipment they cut the grass, litter pick, remove the cuttings, strim the edges and remove any cutting from paths and patios.
Hedge Trimming
As part of Citrus’s ongoing ground maintenance service hedges and shrubs are kept at a uniform height and are trimmed at the appropriate times in accordance with our clients specific requirements.
Flower Beds and Shrub areas
In addition to planting for the summer months, the flower beds and shrub areas are prepared out of season to produce a profusion of flowers and colour in season. As part of the ongoing ground maintenance these areas are regularly hoed and where appropriate a mulch of bark is laid in order to keep the areas pristine and weed free.
